FAQ
What is TeleSwap?
A trustless Bitcoin DeFi hub where you can bridge, swap, and earn on Bitcoin across EVM chains, TON, and Solana — without handing custody to a centralized bridge. See What is TeleSwap?.
What is TeleBTC?
TeleBTC is a decentralized wrapped Bitcoin: a 1:1, collateral-backed representation of BTC minted on the destination chain. Unlike custodial wrapped BTC (e.g. WBTC), no single company holds the underlying BTC — it's secured by permissionless, collateral-backed Lockers.
Is TeleSwap custodial? Why is it trustless?
No. TeleBTC is only minted after the light-client bridge verifies a real Bitcoin transaction on-chain, and the BTC backing it is held by collateralized Lockers that get slashed if they misbehave. See the Security model.
Which chains and tokens are supported?
BTC ⇄ Polygon, BNB, Ethereum, Optimism, Arbitrum, Base, Unichain, TON, and Solana, into a range of tokens per chain. See Supported assets & chains for the current list.
Do you still support Runes or BRC-20?
No. TeleSwap previously supported Runes and BRC-20, but those are deprecated. The protocol now focuses on bridging and swapping BTC.
How long does a bridge/swap take?
Roughly ~20 minutes for BTC → another chain (two Bitcoin confirmations), or ~10 minutes with a fast swap (one confirmation). Redeeming back to BTC takes a few minutes, until the Locker broadcasts your payout to the Bitcoin network. See Fees & Speed.
What's a fast swap?
A fast swap (BTC → another chain) pays you in ~10 minutes via a Filler who prepares your swap and delivers after one Bitcoin confirmation — instead of the two a standard swap waits for — and is repaid afterwards. It's optional — you can always settle normally and skip the fee.
What fees do I pay, and in what?
All fees are charged in BTC: a network (gas) fee, a locker fee, and an optional protocol/integrator fee. A Teleporter fronts the destination-chain gas, so you don't need that chain's native token. See Fees & Speed.
What happens if my swap fails?
If the market moves and the swap can't meet your minimum output, you're refunded in TeleBTC/BTC rather than losing funds.
How can I earn on TeleSwap?
Stake TST to earn BTC from protocol fees, or provide wrapped BTC (WBTC, BTCB) liquidity to earn BTC yield. Native BTC staking is coming soon. See Earn on Bitcoin.
Has it been audited?
Yes — see Audit Reports.
How do I integrate TeleSwap?
Use the SDK or the REST API, and register a third-party ID to earn a share of fees on the volume you bring.
